Has AACo snagged a billionaire buyer for its Darwin processing plant?

The Australian Agricultural Company has snagged at least one credible buyer for its mothballed Darwin beef processing plant near Livingstone.

Sources said representatives from Bindaree Food – a beef processor majority owned by Chinese billionaire Hui Wing Mau’s Shimao Group – were spotted in late February on a site visit to the plant, which has remained idle since 2018 when it was shuttered due to operating losses.
