It has been eight months since this column revealed Macquarie was preparing a bid for the UK Government's Green Investment Bank and, well, things haven't exactly moved swiftly.
GIB was set up in 2012 to invest in green energy and infrastructure projects including wind farms, waste and bioenergy and offshore renewables. Westminister decided to sell it off last year and privatisation processes normally run to a strict timetable.
