Albanese spearheads Cook Islands mining play

Former Rio Tinto chief executive Tom Albanese's name is back in front of select Australian natural resources investors - this time as a key player in a group hoping to extract cobalt from the Cook Islands.

Albanese is named as a member of the CIC Consortium, which is seeking to raise funds from Australian and offshore metals and mining types so it can progress tender and licensing requirements and turn its Cook Islands mining plans into reality.
