The weird and wonderful world of EML Payments

We brought you the happy news in Tuesday’s column that former Aristocrat strategy head and Afterpay chief financial officer Luke Bortoli had joined lithium miner Pilbara Minerals as its CFO.

After the manic highs of the Afterpay share price in 2020 – when Bortoli sold 900,000 of his $5 options for cash profits of $31 million – and then the dark lows of the Square/Block share price since 2022, lithium does sound like a reasonable prescription.
