Richard Gazal and Jon Adgemis have been at loggerheads for more than a year, but the son of the late rag trader Joe Gazal appears to have raised the stakes against the publican.

The problem is, we can’t tell you how. The Federal Court has ignored this column’s request for access to documents on multiple occasions, citing its draconian change in early 2023 to drastically reduce the media’s ability to report on newly filed legal cases and inviting parties to apply for suppression.
