The Boundless political capital of Mike Cannon-Brookes

Cannon-Brookes’ entity Boundless Earth is at some risk of disqualifying itself from charity status over its political donations.

This newspaper’s Queensland bureau chief Mark Ludlow reported on Tuesday that Mike Cannon-Brookes and Simon Holmes à Court donated money to independent candidate for Hinkler Jack Dempsey in the recent federal election campaign.

Dempsey, who is also Bundaberg’s mayor, failed to unseat LNP member Keith Pitt, Scott Morrison’s fossil fuel-friendly resources minister (so friendly, in fact, Morrison had to burglarise Pitt’s portfolio to overrule his prospective approval of the PEP-11 offshore gas exploration project).
