The 2032 Olympics are already casting a light on Brisbane, with Japanese TV one Saturday morning last month broadcasting a special about the city.

The presenter got all the fluffy stuff – things like grabbing lunch at the trendy Howard Smith Wharves. Of course, it didn’t touch on the more unsavoury elements like the odd bikie-linked shooting and firebombing there or drunk 20-somethings wobbling around on Lime scooters at night.
