On Sunday, this column revealed that Peter Dutton made a mad-cap overnight dash to attend Gina Rinehart’s 70th birthday party in Perth before he headed to Melbourne for campaigning in the Dunkley byelection.
We suggested that Dutton potentially made the trip west directly after question time in Canberra last Thursday afternoon. Apparently not.
