As far as “far-ranging” conversations go, Andrew Liveris’ one-on-one with host Ellen Fanning at the QUT’s Business Leaders’ Forum last week was Olympic-level.

The Brisbane 2032 chief canvassed his own journey out of poverty, meditations on “inclusive capitalism” and “wokeism”, advice for Anthony Albanese on meeting Donald Trump, a quote from Winston Churchill, lyrics from Tom Waits and his love of Asian philosophy, which “looms very large in my career”.
