We can scarcely believe that Cricket Australia chief executive Kevin Roberts has declared the governing body to be in a perilous financial state and sent his staff home without 80 per cent of their pay, as reported by The Australian’s Peter Lalor on Friday.

Make no mistake, only by sheer maladministration could Cricket Australia now find itself short of money.
