Judith Neilson’s daughter no longer part of mum’s ‘singular vision’
The philanthropist’s daughter Beau Neilson left Phoenix Central Park last week, and the website has a new line regarding the visionary credit for the venue’s success.
Mark Di StefanoColumnistFew philanthropists garner as much attention as Judith Neilson. Since her divorce from husband Kerr Neilson (of Platinum Asset Management fortune) in 2016, hardly any come close to her lavish patronage of her favoured arts.
Part of the divorce settlement went to the founding of Phoenix Central Park, a free music and performance venue for avant-garde artists in Sydney’s Chippendale. It depends on who you ask, but part of the success of Phoenix Central Park appears to be down to her daughter Beau Neilson who has been its creative director since 2020.
