We’re in the final dwindling minutes of The Great Gil Show and it’s starting to feel a bit Lord of the Rings. That’s the ending right? No, that’s it. Wait, no the hobbits have returned home. Oh, wow, they’re getting on horses again. Gil McLachlan’s 10-year There and Back Again. Please for the love of God, find an ending!

At Monday night’s Brownlow, Gil once again kept successor CEO Andrew Dillon in the wings. Gil was also fodder for comedians Sam Pang and Mick Molloy, who joked about his broken arm, sustained playing polo, the people’s game.
