Treasurer Jim Chalmers reckons recently departed AWU national secretary Daniel Walton is “a fantastic guy”, “one of the really enlightened leaders in our broader Australian community”, as well as someone “whose advice I’ve relied on really heavily over a long period of time”.
Trade Minister Don Farrell says Walton’s “a terrific fellow”. Even Opposition Leader Peter Dutton pegs Walton (to Ray Hadley’s listeners) as “a very decent bloke”.
