Spotted in a private dining room at Queenies, at Canberra’s Kingston, on Sunday evening: almost every single female member of Scott Morrison’s now-dissolved cabinet. That’s right, six of the seven!

That would be new Liberal Party deputy leader (and outgoing environment minister) Sussan Ley; former social services minister Anne Ruston; ex-NDIS minister (and Ruston’s Canberra housemate) Linda Reynolds; former attorney-general Michaelia Cash; outgoing home affairs supremo Karen Andrews; departing defence industry, science and tech minister Melissa Price; and the Nationals’ ex-infrastructure tsar Bridget McKenzie.
