State and federal governments have been coughing up hundreds of millions of dollars to Indigenous Australians ripped off by old wage control laws.

Many Indigenous Australians – who often worked as stockmen, farm hands, kitchen hands and laundry assistants – were paid significantly less than their colleagues from the 1930s through to the ’70s.
