On February 28, Bank of Queensland executive chairman Patrick Allaway will deliver his first set of results in that role. The bank is down a regular CEO after it abruptly parted ways with George Frazis in November, seven months after this newspaper’s Chanticleer column rather spectacularly outlined some of the convivial banker’s unique workplace quirks.
These included requiring Fiji water and “special wine” at off sites, not attending meetings before 11am while working late into the night, and the (derailed) installation of a personal toilet in the bank’s new George Street offices. (“I found out a week ago about George’s office having a personal toilet,” Allaway said at the time. “It’s inappropriate and unacceptable, and will be a communal toilet going forward.”)
