Bank of Queensland backs CEO’s unique style
George Frazis has made good progress with his transformation of the Bank of Queensland while exhibiting an unusual approach to work.
When George Frazis took on the Herculean job of turning around the poorly performing Bank of Queensland in 2019, he brought to the task a unique leadership style that has sometimes surprised and disappointed his chairman, Patrick Allaway.
Allaway, who remains a huge fan of Frazis, was disappointed to find that the former head of business banking, Peter Sarantzouklis, was hired without Frazis telling the chairman he was godfather to Sarantzouklis’ child.
