Now it is absolutely certain – CPA Australia members will never see any punishment deriving from, never hear a satisfactory explanation about, and never see a reversal or other financial remedy to the outrageous decision by the board to grant Alex Malley a three-year golden parachute.

ASIC has closed its investigation into the board's inexplicable decision. Malley's payment exceeded in its sheer size anything a listed company (CPA is a not-for-profit) would or could try, and was clandestinely decided upon, without the approval of and against the interests of its members in an environment where even Malley's total pay packet was a closely guarded secret.
