For 15 years Bruce McWilliam has built a career as one of the country's most important media executives as Seven Network commercial director, but behind the scenes the close friend and former business partner of Malcolm Turnbull has also become one of Sydney's most prolific residential property investors, with a portfolio of eastern suburbs homes and shops worth an estimated $200 million.

The landlord's focus on Sydney's east has seen McWilliam and his wife Nicky buy and overhaul a collection of at least 20 residential and commercial properties that they currently own.
