Sydney records lowest clearance rate of 2024 on final auction weekend

Sydney has ended the auction year with a whimper, recording its lowest preliminary clearance rate of 2024, as cost-of-living pressures and sustained high interest rates continue to drag down sale results in the country’s most expensive market.
According to Domain data, the New South Wales capital cleared just half (50.7 per cent) of the 696 properties sent to auction based on early numbers.
