Miles gives in to councils with $350m bid to fast-track housing
Queensland Premier Steven Miles will offer up $350 million to fast-track the development of apartments and townhouses in an urgent move to boost housing supply in the state’s inner cities.
The Labor government will on Friday unveil a fund to cover infrastructure fees for projects in underdeveloped zones across the state to streamline new builds and encourage developers holding on to prime land to contribute housing stock.
