Jan Cameron adds Bruny Island rural gem to huge Tasmanian portfolio
Kathmandu founder and former Rich Lister Jan Cameron has set a new price record on Bruny Island – and bolstered her already significant property portfolio on Tasmania’s east coast – after buying the Woodlands estate at the very top of North Bruny for about $6.6 million.
While the deal for the 100-hectare sheep farm and its near-200 year-old Georgian mansion, about an hour’s drive south of Hobart, remains subject to a confidentiality agreement, well-placed sources on Bruny Island confirmed to The Australian Financial Review that the buyer was Ms Cameron.
