Investment banker Stephen Macaw, who left EL&C Baillieu after the publication of secret recordings in which he claimed he was more important than the broking firm’s chief executive, and wife Megan have sold their home on an 1122-square-metre block in Melbourne’s Brighton.
The price in the off-market sale – which ends a 19-year connection with the Kent Avenue property that the couple acquired for $3.35 million in 2006 – was not clear, but a number of sources with knowledge of the Brighton market said it could have sold for $14 million or more.
