Brisbane buyers pay $19.2m for yet-to-be-built Gold Coast penthouse

A Brisbane couple has paid about $19.18 million for the penthouse atop the yet-to-be-built Royale tower in Surfers Paradise, setting a new apartment record for the famous beachside suburb on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The lavish spread will occupy the 35th floor of the 38-storey tower, which is currently being built on the 2251-square-metre block on the corner of Northcliffe Terrace and Markwell Avenue.
