MPs on both sides of politics have privately questioned Anthony Albanese’s decision to buy a $4.3 million luxury beach house on the NSW central coast amid a national cost of living crunch.

Some MPs likened the planned Copacabana purchase just months out from an election to Scott Morrison’s ill-fated trip to Hawaii during the 2019 bushfires.
