Janusz Hooker, the grandson of the founder of Australia's great real estate brand LJ Hooker, is poised to take control of the franchise group.

Mr Hooker and a big international backer are finalising negotiations, with a number of hurdles still to be surmounted, to buy out the other partners in the business, led by current chairman Greg Paramor.
