The growth of artificial intelligence, including products like ChatGPT and GPT-4, is fuelling increased demand for data centres, and improving the bottom line at Goodman Group, says chief executive Greg Goodman, as the $80 billion industrial giant upgraded its earnings guidance on Thursday.
The upgrade – the second this financial year – came as Goodman Group revealed 30 per cent, or about $4 billion, of its $13 billion of projects under construction around the world were data centres being built for some of the world’s biggest operators.
