Tax reform crucial to the success of the National Housing Accord

To support this initiative, Treasurer Jim Chalmers has asked the states to develop proposals by June this year for ways to improve the speed of land release, rezonings and development approvals.
While a review of planning laws and processes is crucial, the impact of GST and state taxes should also be considered.
