Luxury developer behind Sirius rebuild collapses with unpaid millions

The developer behind Sydney’s controversial Sirius building redevelopment, run by former Macquarie banker Jean-Dominique Huynh, has collapsed after the company failed to repay millions of dollars to the family of a Chinese billionaire.

Huynh’s JDH Capital is the company behind the transformation of Sirius, built in 1980 beside the Sydney Harbour Bridge in The Rocks for public housing but sold in 2018 for conversion into luxury apartments.
