Why Liberals fear Boris Johnson’s go-to pollster has lost its touch
Liberals in NSW and Queensland are mulling a shift away from influential pollster CT Group, formerly known as Crosby Textor, out of fear the firm has lost touch with younger voters and women.
CT Group, the outfit founded by Mark Textor and Lynton Crosby that went on to propel David Cameron, Boris Johnson and John Howard to power, has been the Liberal Party’s go-to pollsters for more than 20 years, and a fixture of state and federal Liberal election efforts.
An earlier version of this article said CT ran the NSW Liberal division’s 2023 state election campaign. This is incorrect. The group provided research to the Liberal division for the election. The article has been updated accordingly.
