London | Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. That could be the motto of political guru Sir Lynton Crosby, consigliere to many a conservative leader in Australia and Britain. But unfortunately for him, the British press just can't leave him alone.

Mr Crosby's latest bath in the media spotlight comes courtesy of The Guardian, which on Thursday (AEDT) claimed that one or two men understood to work for his consultancy C|T Group were involved in a well-funded but somewhat veiled set of Facebook-based campaigns to lobby MPs for a hard Brexit.
