The trouble for cancel culture, is that the excesses it inspires are so side-splittingly silly.

Last week a statue in Copenhagen fell victim to the global wave of vandalism and violence against problematic things. The statue was of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale character the Little Mermaid. It was defaced with the words “racist fish”.
