WA sitting Liberal’s campaign under finance pressure from independent
One of the Western Australia Liberal Party’s blue ribbon divisions agreed to dole out $40,000 to federal election campaigns fighting to win seats in other areas in the state, before a high-profile independent ramped up her push in its own backyard.
According to minutes of the divisional council meeting of the WA Liberal Party’s Curtin division held on February 2, obtained by The Australian Financial Review, the executive agreed to donate $10,000 to the federal election campaigns for the seats of Hasluck, Canning, Pearce and Cowan.
