A trio of Victorian teals has won the right to hand out how-to-vote cards that do not include preferences – a victory that came a day after they were served cease-and-desist notices and threatened with six months’ jail time.
Kew independent candidate Sophie Torney joined Hawthorn candidate Melissa Lowe and Mornington candidate Kate Lardner in taking the matter to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal on Thursday.
