Students arrested in Queensland as protest encampments defy orders
Two pro-Palestine student protesters have been arrested at a Queensland university while others in Melbourne have defied orders to pack up their encampment despite warnings they are now considered trespassers.
University of Sydney vice-chancellor Mark Scott on Monday apologised to anyone who felt unsafe on campus due to the pro-Palestine encampments, before adding that peaceful protests were a part of the institution’s culture.
