Qld to reopen border to NSW and Victoria on Monday
Queensland will fully reopen its borders to NSW and Victoria on Monday – four days earlier than planned – but will introduce extra testing requirements to slow the spread of the omicron variant.
Despite fears the Palaszczuk government would pause the reopening because of the uncertainty surrounding the new strain of COVID-19, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk stuck to her pledge to reunite families by Christmas after the state passes the 80 per cent vaccination threshold.
