Berejiklian loses majority as alleged rapist moves to crossbench

The Berejiklian government has lost its majority in State Parliament’s lower house as a government MP moves to the crossbench while he is investigated by police for an alleged rape.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said on Thursday she was “shocked” by the allegation levelled against Nationals MP Michael Johnsen, who said he was innocent.
