Stevedore Patrick is seeking the intervention of the Fair Work Commission in a bid to resolve its bargaining deadlock with the Maritime Union of Australia.

Patrick will apply on Friday for bargaining orders that seek to force the union to give a "proper response" to the company's April proposal for a new enterprise agreement.
