Parties of the right poised to storm NSW Upper House

While polls and pundits are pointing to a tight result, whoever forms government in NSW to pass legislation will need to deal with a hostile upper house already containing the religious right, a fractious Greens, those who love animals and those who want to make it easier to shoot them.

And the larger-than-life Mark Latham is set to become the latest member of the NSW Legislative Council, with the former Labor leader and controversial media commentator joining forces with Pauline Hanson to run under the One Nation banner.
