Palaszczuk won't budge on borders as cases hit zero
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is refusing to budge on opening the state's borders to 5 million Sydneysiders, even though the community transmission of coronavirus fell to zero on the day of her decisive third term victory.
Despite Queensland extending the border ban to Sydney on Friday for another month, Health Minister Greg Hunt said states and territories needed to get moving on reducing border restrictions now that the coronavirus cases were under control.
