Premier gives Nationals ultimatum over koala ‘tantrum’

The NSW Nationals leader and Deputy Premier John Barilaro has until Friday morning to back down from his threat to move to the crossbench or be axed as a minister over a Coalition spat involving laws protecting koalas.
Mr Barilaro led his colleagues into open rebellion against his own government on Thursday, threatening to block any new legislation until the existing laws were relaxed.
