Knock off drinks aren’t what they used to be at Melbourne bar Whisky and Alement as the scars of one of the world’s most punishing COVID lockdowns are still visible in the city.
Tables are easy to come by when entering the Russell Street venue at 5.30pm on Friday, with no more than a dozen people inside.
