If Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews wasn’t assured a third term in the November state election, the floods have probably sealed it.

As the pandemic proved, Andrews flourishes in a crisis. And unlike former Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who was caught short on his Hawaii holiday and again in Lismore (when the former PM arrived nine days after the town was submerged), the premier did not miss a beat when severe flooding hit Victoria last week.
