Police name stabber who killed six at Sydney’s Bondi Junction mall

Police say the 40-year-old Queensland man who killed six people and left others in a critical condition was not driven by ideological purposes during a stabbing rampage inside a shopping centre in Sydney’s Bondi Junction.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Anthony Cooke said Joel Cauchi moved from Brisbane to Sydney a month ago and took possession of a small storage facility before killing five women and one man at Westfield on Saturday.
