LNP vows to give more powers to Integrity Commissioner
The Queensland Liberal National Party has vowed to give the state's Integrity Commissioner more powers to investigate potential breaches of the lobbying code of conduct, following controversy surrounding ALP power broker Jim Soorley.
As the state election campaign enters its final week with both leaders in North Queensland, Opposition leader Deb Frecklington said it was clear the Integrity Commissioner also needed more resources to focus on the controversial issue of lobbyists.
