NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns will ban political donations from pubs and clubs and has vowed to reduce the number of poker machines in the state, in a pre-election gaming reform package which the state’s most powerful union body says does not go far enough.
As poker machine gambling reform emerges as a major issue ahead of a state election in March, the NSW Labor leader has committed to expanding a cashless gaming trial to 500 machines and has pledged to slash a current cash input limit on machines from $5000 to $500.
