Labor is wavering on its longstanding pledge to pay superannuation on government-funded parental leave, leading the super sector to accuse the major parties of sacrificing women’s financial security to balance the budget.
It emerged this week that the Coalition had considered but ultimately rejected the measure as part of the upcoming federal budget, due to be handed down on March 29.
