Victoria open to tax breaks to boost home building

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan says her government is open to considering more drastic tax policy changes to ramp up home building to revive the chances of reaching its ambitious housing goals.
Australian Bureau of Statistics data released last week showed that just 11,071 homes were approved for construction in Victoria in the first three months of this year – the worst figures since 2013.
