Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has unveiled her new cabinet, with Danny Pearson taking over the state’s mammoth transport infrastructure pipeline, including the controversial $200 billion Suburban Rail Loop.

Mr Pearson, who remains assistant treasurer, this year was forced to admit to an error of judgment in not disclosing a potential conflict of interest over his Commonwealth Bank shares, but maintained he was not the decision maker in a 2021 process that awarded the bank a multimillion-dollar contract.
