'Inland sea' pushes Queenslanders to the limit in unprecedented floods

Queenslanders pride themselves on their ability to withstand anything that Mother Nature throws their way.

But the floods which hit North Queensland earlier this month - inundating thousands of homes in Townsville and killing more than 300,000 head of cattle around Cloncurry, Julia Creek and Hughenden - has tested the state's resilience.
